WHERE SHYNESS MEETS EGOISM (and the points don't matter)

Mumbai Xpress Album Review

Tuned by the Maestro Illayaraja, the songs are in par with the movie theme(which is comedy), having a comedy-type song, one duet song, one theme song, and so on...fullfiling the normal formula for a typical Tamil movie. All the songs seem to be slow paced. Compared to previous Kamal-Illayaraja's work Virumaandi which were loud, strong and melodious, this one is focused more on slow modern music.

A Kamal voice is always expected in his recent movies, as he tend to lend his voice for at least one song in each of his movies lately. This shows that the public love his voice and the music directors know that his voice is a plus for the album.
One song that stands out is "Yelae Nee Yetti Po". Although the rant somewhere near the end of the song is kind of irritating, maybe it is better to be heard in the theatre with the visual. Overall the songs are jazzy which is refreshing but a norm for Illayaraja's area. That's all for now...can't wait for the movie :p
