I Hate Mega Serials
If there was one thing in this world that I would like to terminate for good, it is mega serials. Mega serials. Errrghhhhhhhhh. They make me sick. They are my worst nightmares. I remember, it all started somewhere back in 1998 when NTV7 was still fresh and new and they were trying their best to give the best programmes to the public. And the first episode of this serial by K. Balachander 'Kaialavu Manasu' was aired. It was the birth of an evil omen. After 2 years I think the serial ended. I thought it was a nice and entertaining series, but I was wrong. I wasn't aware that the sweet and delightful entertainment was going give birth to more serials and take a deep turn into the dark side. Then came Jannal, Premi, Anni, Chitti, Annamalai, Selvi, and all kinda shits. Well Chitti was okay, but after its big success came all this nonsense bullshits which took most of my peace away from me.
The most irritating and annoying aspect of this shit is that all of them have the same stories, actors, themes, and all shit u can ever think of. They do nothing but fight over stupid problems, then whine and cry. They all start with a small problem, let's say a boy wants an ice cream which his mother refuses to buy for him, then his father gets mad over his wife that she can't take care of their children and kicks her ass, then the mother cries and goes to her mother's house, then her angry brother takes revenge against the father and the kid who started the problem, then all of the adults die and their kids grow up and continue the war their forefathers had started, and it keeps on looping, all these just for a Wall's ice cream. All the women in the serials wear nothing but sarees. It's almost like a saree advertisement. Some ladies watch these serials just to look at the colourful sarees these heroines wear. Here are some examples:

I've seen snails, I've seen sloths, but I've never seen anything else in this god damn earth as slow as mega serials. They seem like never ending. There was this one episode of god-knows-what-serial I watched the other day, the whole episode was a crying scene. The lady was crying and crying. And crying. It made me cry. Not because of the scene, it was because the episode finished. All this while I thought serials never finish and they would continue playing these serials 24/7. The people in these serials hardly move, they cry every chance they get, they take revenge against each other, and it's a story of infinity. Hats off to the story writer for coming up with a story that is inconclusive.
I hope mega serials never existed. As claimed by some of them, it took their dinner away, their freedom, thoughts, rights, beliefs, life, destiny, and future. Mega serials should be banned. Screw Astro Vaanavil and SunTV for allowing such atrocious acts. I demand peace for earth. Enough of serials please. We need something new.
*Note: In conjunction with this article, I've uploaded a great song by Kashmir Stone called Mega Serial. Feel free to download and listen.
