Mosquitoes - Your Friendly Neighborhood Fatalists
These past weeks have been dead boring. Just have been spending the hours at home doing nothing. Suddenly out of nowhere, mosquitoes came into my thoughts. Yeah, mosquitoes. Especially that species - Aedes. Lately these insects have been causing troubles and commotion all over the country with their deadly bites and breedings in every spots you can name. I was just wondering what do these mosquitoes demand and why they cause so much anxieties to the public. So to waste my time and for the sake of updating my blog, I did some short navigations on the world wide web and came out with these facts;
1) There are over 2,000 types of mosquitoes in this planet (which doesn't really matter).
2) They have 3 censors - Visual, Heat, and Chemical. So they can see you, smell you, find and pinpoint you better as they approach you thanks to your body heat.
3) A mosquito consist of 3 parts, the head, thorax and abdomen.
If you can see the picture above, the head is where all the 3 censors are, 2 big ugly eyes, a mouth called palpus, and within that area, one long thin sharp needle-like thingy proboscis (which only female mosquitoes have, and yes, only females bite. No puns intended.)
Next is the thorax. Here is where all the body parts are attached, such as the head, abdomen, legs, wings. It also has some muscles, heart, and nerve cells.
Then we have the abdomen, where the digestive system is. Oh yah, not forgetting the secretion organs.
I'm sure you all know how they breed, as we all learnt during our primary school times, the larvae, pupa, blah blah. The most important thing is prevention. We must get rid of these stupid good-for-nothing insects so we must start from our house. Keep those water clean, containers, and all that shit to keep away from mosquitoes. Oh ya, if you smell like pig, please help yourself and spray some perfume or deodorants cause it seems that mosquitoes are attracted to body odours. Also if you sweat alot cause your sweat contain some chemical shit that mosquitoes really dig. So let's be smart and get those mosquitoes be demolished before they do it on us first. So that pretty much ends my narration on mosquitoes. Thank you very much.
